This week, I read about Harry and his first time on a broom. Draco Malfoy had stolen Neville's crystal ball that shows what you forgot that day. Malfoy had taken it and Harry wanted to take it back. Malfoy wasn't going easy on him and jumped on his broom and took off. Harry, who was extremely determined, jumped on his and took off as well. This was Harry's first time so every body was shocked to see that he was flying so well. After Harry got Neville's ball back, Professor McGonagall called him to follow her. Malfoy and the rest of the Slytherins were snickering as he walked behind her. Harry thought he was in so much trouble. But it turns out that Professor McGonagall was very impressed at Harry since that was his first time flying. Professor McGonagall introduced Harry to a Quidditch player, a popular sport. Professor also told Harry that he looked and acted just like his father.

I also read about the meeting of Harry and Professor Severus Snape. Professor Snape hates Harry because Harry is a Gryffindor. Professor Snape is head of Slytherin. It is rumor that Snape follows Lord Voldemort a.k.a He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named. Snape would always ask Harry the hardest questions and expects him to know them all. But of course Hermoine knows the answers to all of them.

Harry so far has gone shopping with Hagrid. While they were shopping, Harry has met a boy at the cloak shop. That boy turns out to be Draco Maloy. Harry doesn't like Malfoy from the start. After Hagrid bought all the things that were necessary for Hogwarts, Hagrid sends Harry on his way to Hogwarts on a train. When Harry is boarding the train, he meets Ron Weasley and all of his siblings. Ron has 5 brothers and 1 sister. His brothers are all older that him and already go to Hogwarts. On the ride to Hogwarts, Harry and Ron become friends. They also meet Hermione Granger. Ron and Harry did not like Hermione at first. They thought she was bossy. When the train reached Hogwarts, they all boarded small rowboats and sailed to land. After they got off the rowboats, they entered Hogwarts for the first time.

If I were Harry, I would have wanted some siblings. Ron has 6 siblings but he doesn't want to have siblings because he is the youngest. Harry feels sorry for him because Harry knows how it feels to be neglected. But Harry would still think it would be nice to have some one to talk to that doesn't hate him.

Harry is a boy that is disliked by the only family that he has left. His only family is his Uncle Vernon, his Aunt Petunia and his cousin Dudley. Uncle Vernon is a round man that works in an office. His son Dudley is also very round and likes to bully Harry with his gang at school. Aunt Petunia is a skinny tall lady with no heart. She only has a heart for her husband and for Dudley. Harry always gets the worst of everything and he wished that everything will somehow go his way for once. One day, everything does. One day, a letter comes. It says it is for Harry. But Uncle Vernon doesn't let Harry open it. Instead, he opens it hmself and he reads it to himself. His is petrified and he tell Harry and Dudley to leave the room. Aunt Petunia also reads it, and she is also surprised. For a long time, the letters have come and said that they are for Harry. Harry never gets to see these letters. Until one day, a bunch of letters come flying in. Uncle Vernon gets very mad and tells eveybody to pack some clothes and get to the car. Uncle Vernon drives to a harbor and rents a boat. He thinks that if they are in a boat, the people that are mailing Harry will not get the letters here. Because all of the letters konw where Harry are. They tell the reader on the postal address. That night, these was lightning and it was also Harry's 11th birthday. There was a loud boom at the door. It turns out that the loud boom was Hagrid. Hagrid is the key holder at Hogwarts. Hargid finds out that the Dursley's have not been giving Harry his letters Hagris was furious when he found out. That night, Harry also found out that he was a wizard. And that his parents were also and this parents never died in a car crash. They had died because of He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named.

I think that Uncle Vernon shouldn't have hid the letters from Harry. They should have told him, so at least he would have known how his parents died. I also think that the Dursleys should treat Harry like a human being. Not like that dirt that they walk on. If only they had a piece of heart. If only they would think of anything else besides themselves. They would be much better people.

My Independent Reading Book

For those of you that have seen my blog before I updated it, I am not reading a book about slavery. Instead, I am reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, by J.K. Rowling. Yes, I know it is weird. Don't judge me. :)
